ICAN WORKPLACE WORKSHOP

Domestic violence is often viewed as a private matter, but its impact inevitably reaches the workplace, affecting employee safety, productivity, and overall organizational health. At ICAN, we are dedicated to helping local businesses like yours create a proactive and supportive environment for all employees.

In collaboration with national experts and resource centers, we have developed a specialized Domestic Violence Training for Employees. This training is designed to sensitize your team to the emotional nature of this topic while providing practical, business-focused solutions.

Our training program covers critical areas, including:

  • The Business Rationale: Understanding why domestic violence is a workplace issue, including the costs to the employer and the community.

  • The "Educate, Refer, Support" Model: Equipping staff with the tools to distribute resources, connect coworkers to assistance, and understand workplace policies.

  • Security & Safety: Identifying worksite-specific actions to respond to threats of violence at work.

  • Supportive Culture: Teaching employees how to talk to friends and colleagues about violence in a helpful, non-judgmental way.

We understand that every organization has changing needs. ICAN is prepared to work with you to update and revise this content to fit your specific culture and policies.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss how this training can support your team’s safety and your company’s values.
