ICAN is the only Office of the Attorney General Certified Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Program with full time staff and Program Houses in Canadian & Grady Counties.

Making a Difference
In our efforts to provides trauma-informed, victim-centered services 24-hours a day to anyone victimized by domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking ICAN! has developed the below Strategic Plan:

The core mission of ICAN is “We Intervene in times of Crisis; Advocate for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking , and Network with community partners to empower victims to become survivors in Canadian and Grady counties. ”

Goal #1 : Provide trauma - informed, victim - centered services 24 hours a day to anyone victimized by domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
​
Goal #2 : Promote, encourage , and allow for healing for every victim and their family through our immediate and ongoing services.
Goal #3 : Increase public knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking within the ICAN service area.
Goal #4 : To enhance the quality of services by providing our advocates with training and education regarding domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

ICAN Service Priorities include:
Crisis Response & Immediate Support: Meeting immediate emotional and physical needs, reducing harm and stress during cris is, and offering short - term emergency shelter, transportation, food, and clothing.
​
Safety & Stabilization: Helping victims and survivors stabilize their lives after victimization and providing a measure of safety and security.
Healing & Empowerment: Promoting and facilitating healing through immediate and ongoing services, and offering emotional support and advocacy.
Justice System Navigation: Assisting victims and survivors in understanding and participating in the criminal and civil justice systems.
Resource Connection: Improving client access to available community resources for effective treatment and support.
Community Awareness & Education: Increasing public knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking within the ICAN service area.
Professional Consultation: Raising awareness of the special needs of victims by providing consultation services to community professionals.
Service Quality Enhancement: Continuously improving the quality of services through ongoing training and education for all staff and volunteers.
Community Engagement: Increasing community participation through donations and volunteer time.
